Injection Molding for Technically Demanding Plastic Components
We offer plastic injection molding for technically demanding products, advanced materials, and complex geometries. With modern machinery, a high degree of automation, and broad expertise, we deliver injection-molded plastic components with high quality, precision, and repeatability.
What is plastic injection molding?
Plastic injection molding is a manufacturing method where heated plastic is melted and pressed into a mold to create plastic components with high precision, consistent quality, and good surface finish. The method is particularly well-suited for series production of plastic components where requirements for accuracy, repeatability, and cost-effectiveness are high. When injection-molded plastic components are to become a finished module or product, we can also help with assembly of plastic components.
At Mastec Plastema, we work with plastic injection molding in both small and large series. We help customers with technically demanding plastic components, complex geometries, and material selection adapted to the product’s function, environment, and application.
Advantages of plastic injection molding:
- Efficient production of plastic parts and components
- High precision, repeatability, and stable quality
- Suitable for complex geometries and technically demanding products
- Cost-effective manufacturing for larger volumes
- Ability to adapt material to function and requirements

Our solutions in plastic injection molding
We help customers with injection molding of plastic parts and components with high demands on precision, function, and quality. Through technical expertise, automated processes, and control over molds, we can support both production and further processing.

Injection molding of plastic components
Efficient injection molding of plastic parts and components with high precision, stable quality, and a high degree of automation.

Molds for injection molding
We take responsibility for the development, procurement, and maintenance of molds for injection molding, ensuring that production is stable, efficient, and adapted to the component’s requirements.

Further processing of plastic components
We can complement injection molding with further processing such as assembly, painting, welding, and other processes to deliver finished plastic components.
High-precision & automated plastic injection molding
With a modern machine park, we offer injection molding of plastic parts and components with high demands on precision, function, and quality. We work with clamping forces from 25 to 1200 tons and handle part weights from 1 gram up to 8 kilograms.
Our injection molding machines are equipped with advanced robotic systems that enable a high degree of automation, stable production, and good repeatability. This allows us to produce both small and large series efficiently and with quality assurance.
Materials we work with:
We injection mold plastic components in several technical materials, including PC, PA, PBT, PC/ABS, PP, ABS, TPE, TPU, POM, PSU, and PPSU.
High-temperature materials:
For products with particularly high demands on temperature resistance, function, or material performance, we also work with high-temperature materials such as PES, PEI, and PEEK.
2-component molding
We also work with 2-component molding and can produce plastic components where several materials or functions are combined in the same component. This is suitable for products with high demands on function, design, sealing, or grip.

Molds for injection molding and tool management
The right mold is crucial for stable and cost-effective injection molding of plastic components. Mastec has an established network of mold suppliers in Sweden, Europe, and Asia, where the choice of supplier is adapted to the product’s requirements, material, and technical conditions.
We take overall responsibility for the mold – from specification and tool layout to procurement, approval, follow-up, and maintenance. This ensures that production can be optimized for quality, repeatability, and long-term operational reliability.
Our tool management includes:
- Development of tool specifications
- Review of tool layouts
- Procurement and follow-up of molds
- Service, adjustments, and maintenance
- Tool transfer between suppliers and production
We also have our own tool workshop where we handle incoming tools, adjustments, service, and ongoing maintenance.
Further processing of injection-molded plastic components
In addition to injection molding, we offer further processing of plastic parts and components to create a finished, customized end result. By consolidating several steps under one roof, we can streamline production, reduce lead times, and ensure consistent quality throughout the chain.
We help our customers with complementary processes such as assembly, ultrasonic welding, painting, metallization, printing, and insertion of threaded inserts. This allows us to deliver injection-molded plastic components that are ready for use in the next stage of the customer’s production.
Among other things, we work with:
- Ultrasonic welding of plastic components
- Painting and metallization
- Printing and decoration
- Assembly of plastic components
- Insertion of threaded inserts
- Adaptation to customer requirements and application
Our flexibility allows us to adapt the solution to each customer’s needs.

Product development & design for injection molding
We are happy to get involved early in the development process to optimize plastic components for injection molding. By reviewing design, material selection, wall thicknesses, and manufacturing method, we can contribute to more efficient production, better function, and lower total cost.
Our experience in plastic injection molding means we can help customers adapt the product to both technical requirements and production conditions. The goal is to create a solution that works in practice – from prototype to series production.
We contribute with:
- Product design for injection-molded plastic components
- Material selection based on function, environment, and application
- Optimization of wall thicknesses and geometries
- Design for manufacturing and efficient production
- Prototype manufacturing and support for series production
The goal is to create the right balance between quality, cost, function, and lead time.
Quality assurance in plastic injection molding
Quality is a central part of our injection molding. With established routines, modern measuring equipment, and structured processes, we ensure that injection-molded plastic components meet high demands for precision, function, and repeatability.
Mastec Plastema is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and continuously works with quality, environment, and improvements in production. This provides our customers with a reliable and long-term partner for plastic injection molding.
How we work with quality and environment:
- Quality assurance at every stage of production
- Continuous improvement work
- Effective deviation management system
- Structured work processes
- Control and measurement of plastic components before delivery
