Injection Molding for Technically Demanding Plastic Components
We offer plastic injection molding for technically demanding products in advanced materials and complex geometries. With a modern machine park, high automation, and broad expertise, we deliver plastic components with high quality and accuracy.
What is plastic injection molding?
Injection molding is a manufacturing method where molten plastic is pressed into a mold to create components with high precision and surface finish. The method is particularly well-suited for high-volume production where demands for accuracy, repeatability, and cost-effectiveness are high.
At Mastec Plastema, we work with plastic injection molding in both small and large series, focusing on quality, flexibility, and technical expertise.
- Production of complex plastic components
- High dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Cost-effective for larger volumes
- High repeatability and stable quality
Our Injection Molding Solutions

Injection Molding
Efficient production of plastic components with high precision and automation.

Molds
Overall responsibility for the development, procurement, and maintenance of tools.

Value-added processing
Complementary processes such as assembly, painting, and welding.
Injection Molding with High Precision and Automation
With a modern machine park, we offer injection molding with clamping forces from 25 to 1200 tons and handle component weights from 1 gram up to 8 kilograms. Our machines are equipped with advanced robotic systems that enable a high degree of automation and efficient production.
Materials we work with:
PC, PA, PBT, PC/ABS, PP, ABS, TPE, TPU, POM, PSU, PPSU
High-temperature materials:
PES, PEI, PEEK.
We also work with 2-component molding and can produce components with high demands on function and design.

Molds and Tool Management
We have an established network of mold suppliers in Sweden, Europe, and Asia. The choice of supplier is adapted to the product’s requirements and technical conditions. We take overall responsibility for the tools – from specification to approval and follow-up.
This includes:
- Development of tool specifications
- Review of tool layouts
- Procurement and follow-up
- Service and maintenance
- Tool transfer
We also have our own tool workshop where we handle adjustments, service, and incoming tools.
Value-added Processing of Plastic Components
We offer value-added processing of injection-molded products to deliver a finished and customized end result. By gathering several steps under one roof, we create efficiency and quality throughout the chain.
Among other things, we work with:
- Ultrasonic welding
- Painting
- Metallization
- Printing
- Assembly
- Insertion of threaded inserts
Our flexibility allows us to adapt the solution to each customer’s needs.

Product Development
We are happy to get involved early in the development process to optimize design, material selection, and manufacturing method. This contributes to more efficient production and lower total cost.
We contribute with:
- Product design
- Material selection
- Optimization of wall thicknesses
- Design for manufacturing
- Prototype manufacturing
The goal is to create a balance between quality, cost, and lead time.
Quality and Environment
Quality is an obvious part of our injection molding. We work with established routines and modern measuring equipment to ensure that we meet high demands.
How we work:
- Continuous improvement work
- Effective deviation management system
- Structured work processes
- Focus on quality at every step

Frequently Asked Questions about Injection Molding
Plastic injection molding is a manufacturing method where molten plastic is formed in a tool to create components with high precision. The method is particularly suitable for producing large volumes with consistent quality and good surface finish.
We work with most common engineering plastics used in technical products, such as PC, PA, PBT, ABS, PP, and TPE. We can also injection mold high-temperature materials like PEEK and PEI for applications with extra high demands.
2-component molding means that two materials or two properties are combined in the same component. This makes it possible to create more functional products, for example, components that need both hard and soft surfaces.
Yes, we are happy to get involved early in the development process. We can then assist with product design, material selection, and adaptations that make injection molding more efficient and the finished product more cost-effective.
Yes, we offer more than just injection molding. We can also assist with value-added processing, assembly, and other complementary steps to deliver a finished and customized product.
