High-precision machining
We offer advanced high-precision machining of metal and plastic with automated production. With a modern machine park, high traceability, and a focus on quality, we deliver components that meet demanding requirements.
What is machining?
Machining involves shaping material by removing it using tools in, for example, milling machines and lathes. The method is used to manufacture components with high precision, tight tolerances, and excellent surface finish.
At Mastec Precision in Ulricehamn, we offer machining in small to medium-sized series with a high degree of automation and standardization.
We offer:
- High precision and tight tolerances
- Machining of both metal and plastic
- Adapted for complex geometries
- High compliance in documentation and traceability
Our machining solutions

5-axis milling
Manufacturing of advanced geometries with high precision and surface finish.

Turning
Efficient and automated production of parts with complex geometry.

Assembly
Complete solutions including assembly, testing, and component procurement.
High-precision 5-axis milling
With specialist expertise in 5-axis and 4-axis simultaneous machining, we enable efficient production of advanced components with high accuracy. Our high-performance machines ensure both high tolerance and excellent surface finish in a variety of materials.
Advantages of 5-axis milling:
- High precision and surface finish
- Efficient production of complex geometries
- Stable and controlled process
Typical part sizes:
100 × 100 × 50 mm up to 450 × 450 × 200 mm.

Turning with high precision and automation
Our lathes are equipped with robotic picking or bar feeders as well as live tooling, enabling automated and cost-effective manufacturing. We produce parts with complex geometry with high quality and a high degree of standardization.
Advantages:
- Automated production
- High repeatability
- Cost-effective manufacturing
- Capability for complex geometry
Dimensions:
Typically diameters from approximately 50–100 mm, with the capability to handle dimensions between 20 and 300.
Assembly and turnkey solutions
We take end-to-end responsibility. When the majority of a module consists of parts we manufacture ourselves, we can optimize purchasing, quality, and cost control. We offer assembly, testing of smaller modules, and installation of threaded inserts.
We take full responsibility for:
- Assembly of components
- Testing of modules
- Installation of threaded inserts
- Procurement of standard components
This frees up time and resources for our customers and ensures efficient delivery.

Subsequent processes
To simplify things for our customers, we offer a wide range of subsequent processes and take full responsibility for the delivery.
- Surface treatment via partners
- Post-processing
- Laser marking (in-house)
- Final delivery of complete product
We collaborate with an established network of qualified subcontractors.
Documentation and traceability
We offer full traceability down to the component level and ensure quality through meticulous documentation.
Documentation:
- Certificates
- Attestations
- Measurement reports
Standards and requirements:
- FAI according to EN 9102
- Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
- FAR/DFARS
- Export control

Quality and environment
Mastec Precision is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and works actively with quality and environmental management systems.
How we work:
- Continuous improvements
- Long-term development focus
- High quality in every step

Frequently asked questions about machining
Machining is a manufacturing method where material is removed to create parts with high precision. The method is used when components require tight tolerances, high surface finish, and an exact fit.
We work with several different materials in machining, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, magnesium, brass, and plastic. The choice of material is adapted to the component’s function, requirements, and area of use.
5-axis milling is an advanced type of CNC machining where the tool can move in multiple directions simultaneously. This makes it possible to manufacture complex parts with high precision, fewer setups, and excellent surface finish.
We work with meticulous documentation, measurement reports, and full traceability throughout the entire process. If required, we also offer FAI according to EN 9102, certificates, and other documentation to meet high quality standards.
Yes, we offer more than just machining. We can also assist with assembly, testing, laser marking, and subsequent processes to deliver a finished component or complete product.
