3. Definitions
Personal data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Some examples of personal data are:

Mastec may collect the following categories of personal data:

- Information regarding qualifications: CV, details of education, professional experience, awards, diplomas, certifications, language skills, etc.
Mastec may collect personal data under the following circumstances:
- Primarily through direct collection of personal data, for example in connection with processing an application.
- Additionally, personal data may also be collected in connection with the performance of work tasks or through interactions with existing or potential customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and public authorities.
5. Personal Data Processing – Purposes
Mastec may process personal data for the following purposes: You are in contact with us (e.g., in business relationships, when registering for one of our seminars, applying for a job, etc.), and we collect personal data about you.
6. Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Data
Mastec processes personal data in accordance with the following legal bases:
- To comply with legal requirements or lawful requests from authorities
- To provide you with products and services and to inform you about new products, services, and events
- To evaluate and improve our offering to, and communication with, customers

Within Mastec, access to your personal data is restricted to persons whose work duties require them to have such knowledge in connection with the processing purposes stated above and/or where access is required on legal or statutory grounds.

We maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.
9. Data Retention
Personal data is stored or archived for as long as necessary to carry out the processing described in this policy and/or, where required, for the duration stipulated by applicable laws or regulations.
10. Your Rights
- Right of access to data: You have the right to request a copy of the data processed by Mastec and to verify that information.
- Right to rectification: You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to erasure (“the right to be forgotten”): You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data where the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. However, there may be legal obligations that prevent us from immediately deleting parts of the data. These obligations may arise from accounting and tax legislation. What we then do is securely store the data that we are required to retain, so that it cannot be used for purposes other than fulfilling such legal obligations.
- Right to restriction: In certain situations, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. In practice, this restriction means that the data is marked so that, in the future, it may only be processed for certain limited purposes.
