Surface treatment of aluminum at Mastec CCTech

At CCTech in Ulricehamn, we are specialists in surface treatment for small to medium-sized series. With a modern and highly automated machinery park, we can work both efficiently and with high precision – ready to meet tomorrow’s demands today.

We are known for our fast delivery capabilities. The standard lead time is only 5 days, and historically we have in some cases been able to solve customer needs in times as short as 3 hours. Our success factors are continuous inspections, carefully documented processes, and an uncompromising focus on quality.

Surface treatments we offer include anodizing, passivation, and chromating of aluminum. We also perform tumbling and assembly and can deliver the finished product directly to the end customer. Flexibility is one of our most important watchwords – and something we live by in every assignment.

Anodizing of aluminum

Anodizing is a surface treatment method that significantly increases the resistance of aluminum. Through a controlled electrolytic oxidation process, the surface is transformed from pure aluminum to durable aluminum oxide.

The result is components that are dirt-repellent, have high wear resistance, are electrically insulating, and receive effective corrosion protection, even in demanding environments. At the same time, the surface becomes more decorative.

We can anodize parts up to 2,100 × 550 × 950 mm. We offer several color options, including natural, black, green, red, and blue.

Hard anodizing for durable components

When the application requires an extra durable surface layer, hard anodizing is the obvious choice. The method differs technically from conventional anodizing by using higher electrical voltage and current, which creates a surface layer with higher oxide content.

The pores become fewer and smaller, resulting in an even harder and more resilient surface. Hard anodizing is often used in industries such as aerospace, hydraulics, and medical technology.

We offer hard anodizing in natural, green, blue, and red colors.

Chromital – corrosion protection according to MIL 5541

CCTech offers surface treatment according to Chromital Surtech 650 TCP and is one of the few approved suppliers in this field. We comply with the military standard MIL 5541, and the method provides very high corrosion protection for both treated and untreated aluminum parts. Our surface-treated components withstand 168 hours of salt spray corrosion testing according to ASTM B-117.

Quality, environment, and certifications

At CCTech, quality and environment are central parts of our operations. We conduct frequent and structured bath analyses, follow supplier recommendations, and work according to our process manual.

We measure TOC (Total Organic Carbon) at a detailed level and maintain a process log throughout the entire line. All process statistics are followed up through daily management and regular meetings. CCTech is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
